The UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026 is a state‑level eligibility examination for candidates aspiring to Group ‘C’ posts under Uttar Pradesh Government, its boards, corporations and other legal bodies. Candidates must possess at least a 10th pass, be between 18 and 40 years of age (with relaxations as per rules) and pay the applicable fee. The online application opens on 3 August 2026 and closes on 1 September 2026, with a correction window till 8 September 2026. The PET consists of 100 objective questions (100 marks) to be answered in 2 hours, with a negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer. Scores are valid for three years and will be used for shortlisting for the main examinations of various Group C posts.

How to Fill Online Application Form
- 👉Register on the UPSSSC portal and complete OTR verification before filling the PET application
- 👉Fill all required personal, educational and category details and submit the form
- 👉Pay the applicable fee (General/OBC/EWS ₹185, SC/ST ₹95, PwD ₹25) through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI or SBI e‑Challan
- 👉Download and print the completed application after successful fee reconciliation
- 👉If any error is found, use the correction window (03‑08‑2026 to 07‑09‑2026) to modify allowed fields
